Fifteen Minutes a Day Can Beat Two Hours Once a Week

|Viviana Oliveros

When English study depends on having a free afternoon, it often gets postponed. A short, predictable routine lowers the effort needed to begin and keeps you in frequent contact with the language.

A simple 15-minute routine can include five minutes of listening, five minutes of repetition or vocabulary, and five minutes of speaking. The content changes, but the structure stays the same. On days with more time, extend the session; on busy days, protect the habit. Consistency does not replace deeper practice, but it makes deeper practice much more likely to happen.

Practical takeaways:

  • Attach the routine to a fixed moment in your day.

  • Keep the same format for two weeks before changing it.

  • Track practice days and completed tasks, not only total hours.
